The 37 is the one chambered for the new .45 GAP, right? They did do a nice job when they decided to smooth out the corners on the front of the slide. I'm not sure yet how I feel about the new round, I need to compare more info and try one. For the smaller handed it it a great option for stopping power. I believe the whole idea of the shorter cartridge was to make for a smaller grip. I think I have also seen the GAP is pretty clost to the ACP in velocity and energy. I'm a big .45 acp fan, and to me I"m happy with the choices already out there for double stacked .45s. First time I picked up a Para the grip felt like the perfect size for my hand. I wound up getting one and love it. Other manufacturers on the ball with the double stace are H&K and Glock. But to anyone that finds these grips too bulky, the Glock 37 is probably a great choice. I think Springfield amrory is going to start offering the XD in .45GAP also.

I agree. It's only purpose is to have double-stack feed and a smaller grip for shorter fingers.
I read the article that was linked here. The 37 only has a 10rd magazine. I guess that will put it ahead of single stack 45s but it doesn't compete with a Para, USP 45, or a Glock 21. I don't personally know any, but I guess some people can't wrap their fingers around the three I just mentioned. The 45GAP can at least offer them the stopping power of .45ACP and a grip they can manage better.

Nice gun, but I am not sure that we need a new handgun round. The 357SIG is still the best round, especially for state police agencies, where penetration is paramount.

I'm a little suprised that .400 CorBon hasn't caught on more. If manufacturers would produce the gun out of the box like that instead of just aftermarket barrels, maybe LE agencies would start considering it. If no one has heard of it before it is the same principle as the .357 sig. Where the .357 is a necked down .40 cartridge with a 9mm bullet, .400 Corbon is a necked down .45ACP with a .40bullet. I'd like to see some gelatin test comparisons but I don't think its been done.

Yeah,
reinvent the wheel. .45 acp has been around forever and is welcome to stay. The .357 Sig works well cuz it puts the .357 magnum into a modern pistol. I think it's tough to beat these two rounds.
