I was thinking of substituting one pair of my cuffs for a 3 pack case of the ASP Tri-Fold flex cuffs. What do you think?

Well Andy, with all of those OUI arrests you're going to be making now, I say go for it. I just might try them out myself.

I'm trying to figure out a way to save room on my belt. I dont like driving with crap on my back. The only item remaining on my back is a pair of cuffs. But I dont want to sacrifice the second set for flex cuffs if they are not worth it.

The ASP flex-cuffs are by far the best "zip cuff" type restraints I've used. I've used several different kinds in the military and corrections before getting on the job. I would recommend, though, buying the pull-rings that attach to the ends of the restraints, as it makes it alot easier to secure them, especially when wearing gloves. The pull rings are sold seperately but can be removed from one set of restraints and placed on another unused set when you're done with it.

I don't wear them on my belt, but keep a set in my cruiserr glovebox, and have a two sets in a double-case clipped onto the side of my patrol bag for quick access.
ASP sells two different styles of holder: an open top plastic one that holds two tri-folds that clips onto the duty belt, or a covered one that holds three. The covered one comes in a ballistic nylon or a leather-like one.
