I have been reading some comments about the Masport Police and how political it is. Take it from me STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS JOB! I have a good friend who is a Massport Cop he tells me horror stories! Yes it is political, the pay is good but the job sucks. The brass who conduct the interviews sell you a bill of goods that the job is ready to take off. DON'T BELIEVE IT. They belong to a Longshoremans union that does nothing for them. One captain makes so much money in ot but busts the rank and file for their ot. Stay awayyyyyyyyy.

I was thinking the same thing HC!

LOL I hope your application is "in" at the State House and not Massport HR.

Take it from me 4 left the job in the past year to find other places to work.

3 are out on medical disability

2 were terminated

1/2 dozen can't wait for a possible early retirement. Not bad for a dept. of 35

One of my co-worker's brother works for Massport PD, and loves it. As long as you like making money and don't care about doing police work, it sounds like the ideal job.

Snoopy is correct. I have four good freinds there and they say the same thing. And no I am not trying to get a job there, the CS door is knocking way too loud.
