Does anyone have any info on the City of Springfields Police Academy? I see stuff about Boston and Worcester from time to time, but never Springfield. Any info would be helpful.

Ahhh, you mean you haven't heard anything about Sprinfield since they laid off half their department 2 years ago??? Hmmm.

I don't think they have had an academy in like 6/7 or more years. I went to the Wmass academy 5yrs ago and there was a handful of Springfield people. They had to graduate in thier khakis, due to being laid off.

Yeah, based on job security alone I would not be concerning myself with a Springfield Academy. Maybe things are better now, maybe they're not.

I'm not concerned about working in the City of Springfield. However, I am going through the hiring process with an agency that said they were going to look into the Springfield Academy due to the WMASS being filled.

Really a Springfield academy, usually they dont run one unless they hire a large group, and that has not happened in a while. Springfiled is about 400 or 500 cops, have a buddie there, he loves it.

Most likely they are referring to the MPTC Academy held in Springfield at Springfield Tech Community College, formerly the Agawam Academy.

Yes, they condemed the building my academy was in, and for good reason. Fucking shit hole.

Hearing rumors that Springfield Academy is going to put 18 through and they are going accept recruits from Northampton due to the fact that they missed the 42 MPOC at STCC. Lets see if they spend all the $ interviewing again only to find out that they don't have the money to hire.
