UMLPD is anticipating hiring one or more applicants for the entry level police officer position. Minimum qualifications include: H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. certificate, ability to work a varied work schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Must be a U.S. Citizen, 21 years of age or older. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a MA Class A, LTC Firearms License.
Qualified applicants must successfully pass a selection and screening process that includes an oral interview, a medical/drug, psychological and a background investigation. Salary range: $35,166.56-$47,479.64. Graduates who have completed a full-time MCJTC Academy or a full-time MSP (SSPO) Special State Police Academy will be given preference.
