Hi,

Has anyone heard if the MBTA Academy tentaively scheduled for May 21st is still on?

I was in the group of 10 that was supposed to go to the academy Jan 29th for the MBTA, but we were told it was delayed until May 21st a little over two weeks before the Jan start date, and I haven't heard anything since nor have I recieved anything in writting from the MBTA. Anyone else in the same boat?

Thanks,

Adrian

Hi, why dont you call the MBTA Police Academy they might be able to help. How the hell did you make it this far..... wow

I thought they were merging with the SP anyway!? Wouldn't that mean that recruits would go to New Braintree instead of Quincy? All these mergers and transfers have me soooo confused.

That was a ploy to get guys to lateral over in hopes of becoming a trooper without going to the SP academy....They simply said that to gain laterals and avoid puting on another academy of their own....

Shouldn't it be the same train?

Well, technically the T does have boats as well as trains...

Aha! "Don't be duped!"

All kidding aside though, your best bet is to just call the academy, as Coldsteel suggested above....They'll be more than happy to answer your questions....

i used to work with a kid that got a conditional offer and was supposed to attend the same academy as you. He got a town job instead but last i heard they were still planning on holding the academy

What? Did I miss something? Who in the heck hired YOU?!

Posted by: SPINMASS

Hey, a lot changed when you left for the silver city.

Ahhh yes the good old T acadmey, and in the summer too! Your gonna love those runs up and down Quarry St. and then back up and down, and up and down on that hot muggy morning. But wait it gets better with the nice swim at Wollaston beach. I'm sure you'll be enjoying the run back to the academy with the sand in your sneakers. Then it was nice with Hanson yelling 6 inches yoohoo. Day 1 is enjoyable make sure you bring a newspaper for all the down time, it makes the day go by quicker.
