Police from other towns help transport 31 youths to police station
By Patriot Ledger staff
HULL - Thirty-one teenagers were arrested on alcohol-possession charges after a weekend party on Newport Road.

The teens were between 15 and 19 years old; most were 17 or 18, Hull police said.

The teenage hostess said the party got out of control and that she took responsibility for what happened.

Police got an anonymous call about the party and possible underage drinking at about 9 p.m. Saturday.

Police said an officer who arrived outside the downstairs apartment in the two-family house at 417 Newport Road could hear youths inside talking about making a ‘‘packy run.’’

Police said through a window they could see open beer cans on a counter and several youths under 21.

Police estimated that there were about 30 youths inside, and they reported finding beer cans scattered throughout the apartment.

According to police, Caitlin Sullivan told police it was her home and that none of the party-goers were old enough to drink. Saturday was the Hull High School senior’s 18th birthday
