How American is your car?

Saw this story over at USA Today about what percentage is a vehicle made in the U.S. The table on the page lays out which cars have parts imported and which are assembled where. You might be surprise that big old Chevy Suburban is actually made?

Mine is 5% USA and 95% Austrian. Might explain why it's the best performing and most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.

mine is 95% and my wifes is 80%.

each is 5% US/Canada (which really isn't American if its Canada right?) and 95% Austrian and 95% German.

I'm surprised actually at the 5%. Both were made in Europe and shipped over here.

At least the dog is 100% German

My wife's Explorer = 80% Kentucky!

My Ranger = 80% Minnesota! It's a 2000 and the production sticker says built in New Jersey.
