DARTMOUTH — Police are looking for four suspects involved in an overnight knife-point robbery at the Capri Motel during which one witness suffered non-life threatening wounds to his face. Police were called to Capri Motel, 741 State Road, around 4:13 a.m. following reports that two people had been robbed at knife-point. The victim, a fisherman from out of town, said that he and his friend were asleep in their room when someone knocked on the door. Two males and two females then forced their way into the room when the victim opened the door, police said. One of the assailants threatened the two fishermen with a large 10”-12” Bowie-style knife and robbed an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry from the victims. The assailants attempted to leave the room when a struggle ensued, police said. The struggle spilled into the parking lot and another witness who attempted to help the two victims was assaulted with the knife, police said. The assailants broke free and fled on foot east on Route 6, with the two victims in pursuit. They quickly lost sight of the assailants, police said. The witness who was assaulted with a knife was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, treated and released. The Wareham resident suffered facial wounds.
