A COP has been banned for life from every pub in his home town for allegedly brawling with a barman.
Off-duty PC Gary Souter is said to have assaulted the man during a night out with fellow officer Johnny James. PC James was given a six-month ban for an alleged assault on another drinker in Schooners Wine Bar in Cardigan, west Wales. The two officers were outlawed by Cardigan’s Pub Watch scheme, set up to crack down on drink-related crime. Neither officer was arrested and no charges have been brought. But Dyfed Powys police confirmed yesterday that a probe into the PCs’ conduct has been launched by their Professional Standards Department. The force said that complaints had been received about the behaviour of two officers — thought to be in their 20s — on the night of the punch-up last month.
Hmmmmm, Banned from every watering hole in his home town......Sounds like there may be a PC waiting in the shadows at closing time for violations to revoke their liquor license.......
