CLOSING DATE: To be announced MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years of age prior to completion of our training academy; three years of continuous, stable employment experience, or two years of college or 60 college credits, or two years continuous active duty military experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Successful applicants must pass a written and a physical agility test; possess or be eligible for a Virginia driver's license with no more than eight demerit points in the past three years; no reckless driving conviction or driving under suspension or revocation in the past four years; or a DUI conviction in the past eight years; weight in proportion to height; 20/20 vision or correctable to 20/20 in each eye; be a U.S. citizen; no conviction of felonies and/or habitual misdemeanors; no recent or prolonged use of marijuana; pass an extensive background investigation which includes a polygraph, psychological, medical and drug screening; ability to maintain security, custody and control of combative prisoners. DUTIES: Perform police patrol operations in the field; perform other work as required. Additional forms are required to complete this application process and will be available for completion on line after the Police Officer position is selected as the desired position to apply for.
