A Swedish police station has just ordered a new batch of toilet paper – for the first time in twenty years. The two-decade toilet paper hiatus doesn't come from any particular toilet efficiency on the part of the police in the small town of Hagfors, but rather on an administrative error in 1986 that deluged the station in twenty years worth of bog roll. It was in March 1986 that somebody ticked the wrong box - the one that said pallets instead of packets – that sent the toilet paper to the police. When it arrived, they tried to return it, but they were told that to do so would be time-consuming and expensive.
