(WBZ)TAUNTON A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured Thursday when he was attacked by a pit bull.
The incident happened at 156 Indian Meadow Drive in Taunton around 3 p.m.
Steven Sousa, 10, has severe bites on his arms. An older man was also injured as he tried to protect the child. Officials said the pit bull was pregnant. Sousa has returned home after visiting the hospital.
The dog was on a leash and being walked by another child when Sousa was attacked.
Animal Control officers took the dog to the Taunton Animal Rescue Shelter.
They were rough-housing with it.. not a smart thing to do. I am not saying the dog should not have bit the kid I am just pointing out that the kids did do there share to upset it.

Pit's that are pregnant are the most vicious kind of pit there is.
The parents should not have let the dog out with the kid in the first place...one more example of a dumb pit owner.

It's the owners not the dog. Allot of dogs of many breeds would attack when being pushed around. Especially when pregnant. I don't blame the dog one bit.
