York County, PA 10 PD's , one test The Metro York Police Testing Consortium is accepting applications for the position of police officer.
TEN separate police departments are participating and there will be ONE test administered.
Hanover Boro PD Newberry Twp PD Northeastern Regional PD Southern Regional PD Springettsbury Twp PD Spring Garden Twp PD West Manchester Twp PD York Area Regional PD York City PD
The testing dates are Friday April 13, 2007 at 7:00 pm and Saturday April 14, 2007 at 9:00 am. The location is the Central York High School located at 601 Mundis Mill Rd. York, PA. There will only be a written exam, no physical agility will be given at this time. ( it will be done later in the process)
Member departments participate in the York County Forensic Team, The County Drug Task Force , And the County Quick Response Team. Each department offers an attractive starting salary ( mid 30's to low 40's) and elaborate benefits. No degree or experience is required.
Applications can be obtained at any of the participating departments or downloaded. . A non-refundable fee of $35.00 ( check or money order ONLY) must accompany the application. Please make checks payable to the York Area Regional PD)
-- Age 21 by July 2, 2007 for non-civil service PD's
-- Age 21 by April 9 ,2007 for civil service PD's
-- Must possess a valid PA drivers license prior to appointment
-- Physically and mentally fit
-- Applicants may be required to pass a physical agility test prior to apointment
-- Applicants will also be required to adhere to the standards set by the Municipal Officer's Education and Training Commission found at www.mpoetc.state.pa.us
NOTE -- Veterans receive standard Veteran's Preference Points or Veteran's preference as applies.
