University Police Sergeant Testing Opportunity
The University of Massachusetts Lowell Police Department is anticipating testing applicants for the position of University Police Sergeant. The testing process is anticipated to be held in March 2007. A list of reading/study material is available through the UMLPD Office of the Chief of Police. For more information, contact (97 934-2384
Applicants must have a minimum of three years post academy experience as of the date of the exam. Uninterrupted full-time experience in a police force or public/private campus police department is required. Candidate must be a high school graduate or possess a GED, an advanced degree in criminal justice or related discipline preferred. Applicants must be a graduate of a full-time MCJTC Academy or a full-time MSP (SSPO) Special State Police Academy, or its equivalent as determined by the University. Qualified applicants must pass a selection and screening process that includes a written and oral exam, a medical and psychological exam and pass a background investigation. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a MA Class A, LTC Firearms License. Minority and female applicants are encouraged to apply. Starting salary: $789.85.Testing fee $40 dollars.
