Hello to all!!
I am a new member to the sight, surfed in while looking for info on a few pistols. Since joining Iv found Alot of exellent, real world info here, but have yet to participate in any discussions. Not being LE I try to remain low key and review old post while I find my way around. Been researching the Glock 27. Wanted one since the first I held, but was never in a position to purchase one as they were(are still) a bit pricey. Back in the day,I carried a Sig p239 or S&W 910,but nowa days for pp I carry a Colt Mustang.

I have an uncle who was a PO in Winthrop for alot of years, now retired. As for me,From around mid 88 to 2000 I was a pi in the Boston area for a repossession outfit that has since gone under. I know that trade is not real popular with alot of PO's,but for the most part my experience with law enforcment was always positive. Had my butt saved more than a few times by the men in blue. alot of respect goes out.

I have since started a family and have put that down for a few years. With all that time on the road, dident want to miss my boy growing up. Im still trying to keep my contacts solid, but not being out in the field everyday, its tough. Took a straight(boring) job for a while, but go to the range frequently, and try to keep up on the ever changing trend of firearms. I take the responsibility of teaching my son gun safety very seriously,as does his 'uncles' and my closer freinds. I dont have the pistol collection I once had, pimarily collecting knives now,Spyderco,Kershaw,Colt,ect...But since one of the younger guys in our 'crew' aquired his LTC and started buying new pistols, hes got me wanting something new,or old as the case may be...

Well, not much else to tell, just wanted to say hello.
Regards and be safe out there!

THANKS for the welcome,all.
dont have any specific questions yet, just researching the Glocks. seems alot of POs carry them as a duty piece. from what iv red the g27 makes a great back-up as the clips are interchangable in some full size models. thats conveinent in a pinch! but i wreckon its a matter of personal choice when it comes to a BU??
iv seen quite abit of info reguarding ADs in the Glocks(in other forums),but it seems like user error,in some cases owners not clearing the chamber before dropping the 'hammer' for d&a...seems like an odd error to make,i was tought to treat every pistol as tho it is loaded,at all times...but we are humans. you pull down on a Glock,by design,it will fire. but i dont have any field exp.with them yet. and the sheer volume of Glocks out there today are gonna make them stand out in that respect(imo anyway). i always thought the decocker on my Sig p239 was cool. my bud has a sweet p226 for sale, but im holding out..

i had a line on a g27 and thought it was a done deal, but the seller cut off comms.for no apparent reason(??)...soo the search continues...

thanks again for the fine welcome & any imput/opinions reguarding the Gs is much appreciated!
