The SGTs positions are for officers that are already working there. That will open up police officer positions but last few positions that were fileld there were guys that transfered from other DOD PD bases back to Mass.

The Desk Sgt Position I believe will actually be a road supervisor position, the government post the positions as the following because their is paperwork, etc that has to be done. Just like in any police job.

So its two sgts positions they want to fill, from within you think, I know thhey have a sgt now who runs the show" And should be looking to hire if they promote from within, Most likely from fort dix. Thanks

I know, I just always wondered where the entry level starts for the federal positions. I also saw a posting for the Army Installation in Natick for an entry officer, which is where my curiosity came from. Thanks.
