Report from today's BBC:

A man who pretended to drive an unmarked police car by fixing a siren to his car has pled guilty to careless driving. Azar Mohammed, 44, bought a siren along with flashing front grille lights on the internet and operated them with a control panel in his Vauxhall Vectra.

He admitted causing other road users to take evasive action to let him pass.

The local authority care worker was given seven points on his licence and fined £250 at Perth Sheriff Court.

Mohammed, of Almondbank, Perthshire, was approached by Tayside Police on 13 November, after a motorist contacted them.

Fiscal deputy Stuart Richardson described how a number of motorists travelling east along the A85 between Crieff and Perth had pulled over or stopped after Mohammed drove up behind them flashing his lights.

Solicitor Cheryl Clark, defending, said Mohammed was not aware the lights should not be fitted to a civilian car and wanted to see what the lights looked like when they were on.

She added that Mohammed had then had difficulty turning them off.

Sentencing, Sheriff Michael Fletcher said he had taken into account the quality of Mohammed's driving for the past 20 years.

However, he added: "I think it's quite a serious matter to be using lights in that way, to make you look like a police officer and cause other drivers to take action they would not otherwise take."

Outside court, Mohammed said: "It was just put on to make the car look cool. I feel stupid now because it has caused me a lot of problems."

Wonder if we'll hear from Mohammed?

Excuse me? I think you all need to get a grip, his surname is Mohammed, therefore he is a terrorist? You should all know that this man you are calling a terrorist, and clearly posting racist remarks, is a man who has lived in scotland all his life, is a loving husband, father, grandfather and MY DAD so im sorry if i wreck your little terrorism plot you think you managed to uncover but u can all go to hell, because its people like you that automatically call anybody with a foreign name a terrorist, that will ruin the country, and cause people like me who are born and bred in scotland or britain or usa or anywhere like that to live a crap life, constantly taunted by racists and are targeted by bullies all their life. Right now that is all you are, a bunch of racist bullies, so i hope you are bloody proud.

Not necessarily, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were true.
1. the BBC bends over backward in efforts not to offend the "Religion of Peace". So it leaves me to wonder if there is more to this story or not. and 2. until the terrorist terrorizes, we really don't know do we? Theoretically, anyone of us could be a potential criminal right? But your daddy was breaking the law correct? Was it part of a plan to more easily evade police after he unleashes a dirty bomb in Aberdeen? Mohamed Atta et al blended in quite nicely here prior to their acts of violence. And considering it was 3,000 killed in our country on 9-11 (by MUSLIMS), we have every right to our suspicions. If that offends your enlightened sensibilities; tough shit.
