A senior Scotland Yard official proposed today that police officers from throughout the world be brought to England to help with security at the 2012 Olympics.
Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur said there was no reason that officers from elsewhere couldn't be brought into England and "twinned" with British officers to help with the massive security operations.
Officers from different parts of the country were brought in for special duties at past Olympic sites in the United States but international use of police officers is believed to be a new idea.
The concept is in the preliminary discussion stage at this time.

No guns would suck but I'd still love to go!!
Maybe they'd pair us with one of the armed officers?!

I'd go if given a chance. The London Metropolitan Police Dept has one of the best defensive tactics training programs in the world........and all the fish n chips you can eat.

The food sucks, the weathers ugly, the pound is worth a bunch more than dollar and theres a slight terrorism problem. At least the government actually argues points when they convene. I'm in.
