Savannah GA,(Special to MASSCOPS) Police in Savannah's Liveoaks area report a car ran a stop sign yesterday at 1:00 PM, struck another car and then rammed into two parked vehicles. One of the parked cars belonged to Barry and Robin Turner. When one driver started to run from the scene the Turners ran out of their house to give pursuit. During the foot chase Robin popped off a couple of rounds from her gun, missing the suspect but hitting her husband in the side which ended the pursuit. Arriving police arrested the driver who remained on the scene on an outstanding parole violation. Barry was taken to the hospital where he's recovering from the gunshot wound. A few hours later the original driver surrendered to police and was charged with traffic violations. Other charges may be forthcoming.
