I saw recently that Hopkinton PD was looking for FT & PT Dispatchers? Anyone ever work there or know anything about there Dept? Only interested in Dispatching at this time. Thanks....

I took the test, its hard. Their is a timed memerization portion and then you listen to this tape and write down on paper what you hear as fast as the information is given to you. Part of the tape message includes having to inturprite what a frantic women is saying during a 911 call. You can't play the tape back so what ever you miss doesn't count. Good luck!

I had a friemd who used to work there PT, said the training was good, but it was kinda a HEN HOUSE situation. He said the old saying " It all flows down hill" is very in tune there. Seems the PT's are the bottom of the barrel and sometimes, are the scapegoat for alot of BS that starts with Officers and Supervisors. He has henced moved on to a FT job with another dept.
