Anyone here ACTAR certified. I am planning on taking the test soon, was wondering if it's really as hard as everyone says it is.

I am and well it's not all that hard...it's that the tolerances are tight. You have to be extra anal on the practical part of the test...if your angles are a tad off: failure.
Everybody tends to sweat the theory part of the test. If you are comfortable with basic math, physics and the basics of reconstruction, you'll be okay. Study up on delta V, though.
It's the practical that most people fail. DO NOT rely on any template to draw your vehicles. They must be to exact scale. Don't forget to take an engineer's scale, straight edge and sharp 2H pencils...

Thanks DCS, i was missed the actar prep class in dec 06 at natick. i did take the ped recon class there, it was pretty good. I got lots of studying to do.
