Both agencies are hiring and I know in Law Enforcement you should take which one comes first and go from there but... If both were offered at the same time which is the right move. I know this is a broad question but I am looking for people who work in either agency and their thoughts on Retirement, details, salary, health benefits, morale etc...Not trying to start a war between the two agencies either. Thanks

Nobody here can tell you which one to choose. It is a matter of personal preference, key word being PERSONAL. Both are great agencies. I love being a Trooper, but I cannot say anything bad about Manchester PD. In general, as a Manchester officer, you are going to be mostly responding to calls for service. As a Trooper, you will mostly be expected to generate your own activity. One's not necessarily better than the other, it's just a matter of which you prefer.
For NHSP, retirement is 20 years (min. age 45), with the formula being: 2.5% X (# of years of service) X (average of top three years gross). It includes details, court, OT, etc. Full medical and dental with no premiums. Starting salary is just over $40,000/yr., and there are plenty of details. Minimum four hours for any callouts, off-duty court appearances, and details.
