Once in custody, when must an arrestee be notified of their right to a telephone call?

a. within one hour upon arrival to the police station
b. forthwith upon arrival to the police station
c. only when requested by the arrestee
d. only when being held without bail

Results: Remember you must NOTIFY forthwith but the actual call must be granted with in one hour - tricky.

Once in custody, when must an arrestee be notified of their right to a telephone call?

YEah it's on our PRisoner Rights under Rights to a telephone, we read it to them everytime.

Yet one out of three people got it wrong. It means they don't make too many arrests or they are not reading the questions properly. They just jump at the first answer that looks vaguely familiar.

Crazy isn't it. I think most guys read them their rights without understanding them at all.
