NEW YORK -- There's a new king of the hill atop Fortune's list of the 100 Best Companies To Work For.

Google makes its debut in the No. 1 position on Fortune's 10th annual 100 Best Companies to Work For list.

The magazine said Google employees can enjoy free gourmet meals, do laundry, drop off dry cleaning, visit the doctor, get an oil change or a massage -- all onsite.

Dropping from first place is Genentech, which comes in second for both the overall list and for Best Medium-Sized Companies. That company allows a six-week paid sabbatical, which is available for every six years of service. Wegmans Food Markets, which has been on the list all 10 years, dropped one spot to No. 3.

No. 4 on the list is the Container Store. Fortune said this retailer pays its sales employees 50 percent to 100 percent above industry average. It also offers a "family friendly" shift, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., which allows parents to drop off their students at school and pick them up.

Two-thirds of a company's score is based on a survey of employees about things such as attitudes toward management, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The remaining third comes from their evaluation of things like pay, benefits programs and opportunities.

I saw a show on Google. There was people playing Pool, eating awesom food, playing video games and just enjoying their day. I wish I could work there.
