This is the Univ of MA Med school and hospital campus on Lake Ave in Worcester. It is a STATE job. It is not Umass-Memorial on Belmont St. in Worc. To my understanding, Umass-Memorial 'leases' or 'manages' the hospital building (only the hospital and not the school) at the Lake Ave campus. It is all still state-owned property. The entire Lake Ave property is patrolled/ covered by the Univ of MA Univ Police. I was told Umass-Memorial actually pays for the Univ Police to cover the hospital building. It will be interesting to see what happens when the Umass-Memorial/ Univ. Police contract for coverage ends in either 2007 or 2008. Umass-Memorial Police(Belmont St.) seem to have added alot of PO positions and they are in the process of being armed. hmmmmm
