POSITION: (1) Police Officer (2) Police Records Specialist (3) Public Safety Communications Operator (4) Lateral Entry Police Officer
LOCATION: Winston-Salem, NC
SALARY: (1) $29,469-$32,416, DOE (2) $25,970.25; $0.65/hr. shift differential for scheduled evening and midnight shifts. (3) $28,890.00; $0.65/hr. shift differential. (4) Negotiable EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES: 5% of the listed salary for an associate's degree and 10% for a bachelor's degree. Employees are eligible for up to $1,200/yr. tuition reimbursement.
REQUIREMENTS: (1) Must be US citizen; at least 21 years of age at the end of recruit school graduation; have no felony convictions, serious misdemeanor convictions or DWI convictions within the past 5 years; possess or can obtain valid NC driver's license. Must be high school graduate/GED. Work schedule: rotating shifts. (2) Must be high school graduate/GED; possess some experience in computer applications; type 40 wpm on city-sponsored typing test; at least 18 years of age; have no felony convictions or serious misdemeanor convictions. Work schedule: rotating shifts. (3) Must be high school graduate/GED; at least 18 years of age; have no felony convictions or serious misdemeanor convictions; type 25 wpm on city-sponsored typing test. Work schedule; rotating shifts with $0.65/hr. pay differential for scheduled evening and midnight shifts. (4) Needs to have BLET certification and experience with a municipal police department is preferred but not required. Take-home car plan, educational incentives in pay, top-of-the-line equipment, and exceptional retirement plan also available.
