DUTIES: Performs general law enforcement duties while assigned to a 12-hour rotating shift. Responds to calls for service in assigned zones, makes investigations, enforces traffic laws, and performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be 21 years of age; US citizen; have high school diploma/GED; pass a detailed background investigation including employment and personal references; pass a drug test; pass a physical exam. State certification required. Some police experience with a good work record preferred. Must have a valid NC driver's license or must obtain valid NC driver's license within 30 days of appointment. Certified individuals should submit a Personnel History Statement (F-3 application) with resume.
