I just wanted to say that I hope everyone working the DNC will stay safe and I wish you all the best.

I also hope that you all bring home a nice fat paycheck!

Stay safe out there!

Yes best of luck, your gonna need it.

Remember to watch out for the squirt guns loaded with acid, bleach or urine and the Dixie cups filled with shit.

Above everything else to watch out for one of the top ones is video cameras and/or news crews. They can toss anything at the PO's but heaven help the first PO that is not 110% PC to these troublemakers.

I just finished watching a press conference on CSPAN regarding the Black Tea Society's protest plans and they addressed the issue of "urine in squirt guns". The woman speaking on behalf of the Black Tea Society said that she "guarantees" there will be no one spraying the police with urine. What a bunch of B.S..

On top of that, they were making ridiculous statements of expected police brutality.

Good luck to all and stay safe.

Good luck and stay safe everyone! Hopefully, when the 'last dog is hung' and they review the tapes, this won't turn into another BOHICA exercise!

Good luck guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If anything bad happens im just up the road near Beverly Airport..........

Although on a side note, im happy the PD and FD settled thier contracts. But I wish they didnt till after convention............ I would love to have seen if Teddy and the other delagates that promised to not cross a picket line would have put there money where there mouth was when it was "go" time.

Posted by: Officer Dunngeon

I thought Tommy Nee said last week that they were still going to picket anyway?

Posted by: MarkBoston

Nee said that if the BFD contract was settled that BPD and/or their allies would not picket the convention. Boston PD got the majority of what they wanted except removal of the residency requirements for junior officers and a few extra % of pay.

How about a side bet? I'm willing to give odds that the Boston Police Patrolman's Association endorses George W. Bush for re-election. Look at what they did to the Duke with Bush Sr. you think BPPA will treat the Duke's Lt. Governor any better?

I'm voting for BUSH in 2004.
