Anyone here know what happened to thier last chief? Was curious where his career has lead himto now. Below is a bio regarding him. Chief Robert J. Aldrich Robert J. Aldrich is currently serving as the appointed Chief of Police for the Town of South Hampton, New Hampshire. South Hampton is a small wealthy bedroom community located on the Massachusetts border of the seacoast of New Hampshire with a population of only about 1,000 year-round residents. Chief Aldrich attended public schools and graduated from near-by Exeter High School in 1997. He attended Saint Anselm College, a small catholic liberal arts college located in Manchester, New Hampshire and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice in 2001. He went on to earn a masters degree in Business Administration and Leadership from Franklin Pierce College in 2003. While still in high school, Chief Aldrich started his career in law enforcement with the Exeter Police Department as a cadet and later as an emergency communications dispatcher. While in college he landed a job as a patrolman for the neighboring Town of Kensington. He continued to work as a police officer in Kensington and later in South Hampton as well as attend college full-time until October 2001 when he was appointed Chief of Police of the eight-member South Hampton Police Department at the age of only twenty-two. It is believed that Chief Aldrich at that time was the youngest Chief of Police in New Hampshire history. Chief Aldrich continues to lead the department and also serves as the agency’s DARE Instructor for the local elementary school. He is an active member and serves as Vice President of the Rockingham County Law Enforcement Officers Association, has been elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Rockingham County Chiefs of Police Association and sits on the board of directors for the New Hampshire DARE Officers Association. He is also an active member of the New Hampshire Chiefs of Police Association. On top of his duties at the South Hampton Police Department, Chief Aldrich is very active in the community and volunteers for several organizations.
