Any one know if they have the Quinn Bill?

Posted by: Bullock

Anyone know salary in general?

Work on your saluting

Posted by: onetime

Why is that?

Posted by: PBC FL Cop

Every officer has to salute the chief the first time they see him each day

They have the quinn bill. Starting hourly rate is 16.90hr.

I know a guy that used to work there. Here is what he says.
NO OT. Reserves are given first preference at open shifts. If reserves refuse then the shift goes unfilled so they won't have to pay OT to FT guys.
NO DETAILS. Just nothing there.
Huge turnover, some guys last only a few months.

The way I look at it is it's a policing job and they are hard to find. You usually wont start in the first place you want work anyways.

They require a FT academy so what break is there. You should have a better gig than this with a FT academy.

Saluting.. I heard that about the Rutland Chief... It's nice the Chief thinks of himself as the General in-command and all, but he needs to get over himself. I've also heard he's a bit nuts.. good luck. LOTS of turnover!!
