Here's twist of fate. I'm in court the other day for a motion to suppress EVERYTHING in a 94C case. Not a really big case, something I thought would be CWOF'd or even dismissed. So I go through the ringers with the defense attorney, and then cross examined by the ADA.

The passenger is the one being charged, but the driver is on the stand and being questioned by the defense. Then it's the ADA's turn and he just puts the screws to the driver, I mean hardcore! I even cringed a little bit at the aggressiveness, but it impressed the hell out of me nonetheless!

Motion lost, going to trial next month. Score one for the good guys!

The ADA obviously doesn't know how things are done around here.

Funny shit! He's actually been around awhile, and still enjoys winning some every now and then.

As you know, they usually get worn down by the system, just like us. We have a fantastic young ADA in Quincy District who impressed the hell out of me, but the last time I spoke with him, I could feel the apathy setting in.
