Found this on Pg 2 of todays Boston Herald, Laughed so hard I never even read the comics. This is one wedding tale everyone involved probably wishes they could divorce themselves from after a detour to Canada, a deportation and a stolen car charge.

It all started last month when Carlos Gramajo of Framingham set out for a wedding in Lynn 30 miles away with a female companion and ended up on the Canadian border.

He was deported to Guatemala, police say, and his companion drove the van back to Framingham where her son, Jonathan Arizandieta, 19, was charged Monday with driving the stolen red minivan.

Framingham police say the suspect told them his mother, Gramajo’s wayward wedding partner, drove the van back from the border not knowing it belonged to the since-deported man’s wife.

“Apparently she never returned the vehicle to Gramajo’s wife,” said Framingham police spokesman Lt. Paul Shastany. The teen was caught Monday driving the van around town.

Earlier this month, Gramajo’s wife, - Victoria Hidalgo of Framingham - reported the van stolen, police said.

She also backed up the story of her seriously lost husband saying, “Yeah, in September my husband ended up on the Canadian border” and was deported.

Shastany said the entire missed wedding mess is still being investigated, but officers are confident the story is true because similar tales have come from both the suspect and the victim.

“Why wouldn’t we believe it?” said Shastany.
