Has anyone heard anything from either department with respect to hiring from the past exams?

Information from the Pat Rogers Domestic Abuse class today:

I heard Dennis wants to hire from their own reserve guys/gals that took the test. I guess the Dennis reserves with the best test scores will be interviewed along with a few from the general group. I feel alot of Towns use these type of tests as a money maker for their department and have the person hired prior to the exam.

I feel alot of non civil service towns use that principal unless someone takes the test that aleady had all the training they desire then i think they will hire the person. I feel that the higher the fee the town charges the more of an impossibility it is a normal test taker will get hired. Also if they excessively advertise the test, or hire a peronnel company you can bet its just gonna be 125 taking a test for one or two open positions and the test period is only good for a year.
