One of my best friends is FPS, and they are not security guards for the Federal buildings, that's handled by contract security companies. The regular patrol officers (not just supervisors) do go out in cruisers, and do respond to calls. My friend is the first to say the job isn't exactly active, but calling people who go through a stringent hiring process and attend FLETC "security guards" is simply disrespectful. Who in their right mind is going to get mad at the offer of assistance on a traffic stop?? |
