200 Animals Found At Feces-Floored Home

A man in Orange County, Fla., was arrested after nearly 200 animals were found crammed into a small home with so much feces that officers could not see the floor, according to Local 6 News.

Orange County Animal Services said reports of a foul smell coming from Moqsood Ahamed's home located at 444 Marot St. in Orange County led them to the discovery of dogs chained to walls, birds and feces covered rooms.

"Feces is all over the place," Local 6's Erik von Ancken said. "It is so thick you can't see the floor. And the man who owns this house, Moqsood Ahamed, according to deputies, never lifted a finger.
"This is something that definitely that makes not only me but our officers very angry to see how somebody can keep these animals in such conditions and how somebody can live in these conditions as well," Orange County Animal Services worker Vanessa Bouffard said.

Authorities removed 23 dogs from inside the small home and another 34 from the home's fenced back yard. About 160 birds were also removed from inside the home, Local 6 News reported.

Officials said Ahamed used the dogs to breed.

Neighbors said they heard the dogs and smelled foul odors from the house.

"I knew he had dogs, but I didn't know he had that many," neighbor Vincent Auguste said.

The animals were transported to Orange County Animal Services.
