The Staten Island man accused of murdering two detectives won't have to face a sea of blue when his trial begins next month.
Brooklyn federal Judge Nicholas Garaufis ruled yesterday that cops attending the capital murder trial of Ronell Wilson will not be allowed to wear uniforms.
"I think it avoids any type of [juror] prejudice that would be created," Garaufis said.
The families of slain Detectives Rodney Andrews and James Nemorin also agreed that they would not wear buttons or other decorations dedicated to the memory of the men.
Garaufis said he has no problem with uniformed officers watching the trial from the courthouse's third-floor cafeteria, where jurors can't see them. The proceedings will be shown there on a closed-circuit feed. The trial gets under way early next month.
Wilson, 24, is accused of shooting each detective in the back of the head, execution-style, during a botched gun deal on March 10, 2003. He faces the death penalty.
Detectives' Endowment Association President Michael Palladino vowed that the courtroom will be packed with cops, "no matter what the attire."

Whatever judge. Everyone is so worried about a fair trial. I dont see anything fair in killing two detectives execution style. Fair would be for him to paraded into court, take the stand and then be shot in the back of the head. That is fair.
