Rumor has it that Securitas is bidding on it... and might get approval fairly soon.

Anyone have input on it?

may not be a bad thing.... Some great people there. Hope that they get taken care of, if they do go private.

What encompasses the Cape Cod Hospital Network???

Cape Cod Hospital (Acute care Hospital with ER, etc.) is in Barnstable, they have multiple "doctor offices" and assisted living facilities around the Cape. The Hospital Admin. just had a bitter battle with the Nurses Union. This is what leads to decimation of other hospital departments in alot of cases(eg Security, House keeping ,etc.) Which ends up being the responsability of nurses indirectly and it sucks (Ball Park Example they keep the 2 nurses in the ER, but cut down to 1 security guard who is tied up on something else and can't help watch the psych patients, or they keep 4 nurses but lay off some janitors and the nurses end up cleaning the floors).

Its a cluster mess, look what happened at UMass with the Paramedics. I mean the Hospital has a surplus and its just ridiculous. The nursing crisis is just going to get worse, managed care sucks. It sounds nice, but its all about money and what the insurance company will pay for.

Slightly off topic but you get my point.

This sums up the nurse issue at Cape Cod Hospital:
