Anyone know anything about this department... SSPO's, Constables, Town Specials... Could U let me know... I can not find anything on this department... Thanks for your time... Yes I am thinking about working there.

I just saw an ad for armed officers @ Tobey in the Cape Cod Times today.

they are definitally hiring...

as for specials.. i doubt it, but i could be wrong!

I'd assume its armed because they're asking for a permit... Could be wrong though.

(Edit: Oh and looks like I might have been wrong about becoming a special!)

Tobey is part of the Southcoast Hospital Network which also includes St Lukes in New Bedford and Charlton in Fall River. I know the guys in St Lukes aren't armed- they do carry mace.
I suspect if they're not armed in the New Bedford s***hole, they're not armed in Wareham (Tobey)
I also think St. Lukes has one guy per shift who is a special, and the rest are non sworn. Once again, no one is armed.
