Police officers do not get "breaks" like most 9 to 5-ers.
I have seen them used to hang a flashlight in the absence of a flashlight ring.Some do.

Honestly I had heard that police officers do not ticket police officers and that they dont ticket nurses because some kind of code of conduct due to the professions go hand in hand. If the officer gets hurt the nurses are the one's who takes car of them.
