Good question.

after closing OPM sends qualified list to Chief in NJ and then he starts the interview process.

I was called a couple of weeks after closing date.

thanks for the info!! Why did they freeze the last post? Any chance they do it again?

Uncle Sam is spending all his free cash on toys for his sandbox.

oh yea, they can and most likley will at some time.

The Army has a hiring freeze on all areas except for Force Protection (police and security) When the first job announcement went out, Ft. Dix did not get the proper red tape completed. so they shot down the request for the 3 new officers. Now we have 3 job Openings from the prior announcement and one additional. The additional officer is due to someone leaving for a job closer to his home. We can only hope that once the closing date of Aug 2nd comes, they will contact the applicants who score high enough within a reasonable amount of time. We will see...

excellent...thanks for the update!

How does the Chief in NJ do the interviewing? Is by him via phone or done @ Devens? I look forward to being contacted.

Thanks for all the good info. Just curious if you still do gate duties and 12 hr shifts? If so, how many hrs per shift do you stand gates?

Any word on if AR190-56 will be of benefit to police??

Thanks,

Thanks,
gate=50%

AR190-56 - Time will tell its got to be approved by all the powers to be. As with most LE ARs they are not ment to benefit the civilian police officers

Posted by: DOD6826

This is not the FBI he will call you on the phone ask you to tell them about yourself and then set you up for all the testing. if you pass all testing your in that is it,,

Nothing yet.....I've been checking the CPOL site every day.

Posted by: jyanis

Wow...the Answer System sure does move slowly, huh?

Posted by: DOD/272

To all waiting for calls:

The process is snails pace at best.

Hiring is done at Ft. Dix and they are in need of people aswell and the rumour is their slots are filled first. Then the Bosses start working the Devens list. Its not the best process but, its the deal at this minute. Things are always changing.

Good Luck and Be Patient

Thanks for the update!

Some positive signs.....ANSWER says my resume is being reviewed....its a start

Good luck to all, also waiting for CBP in Boston to get back to from an interview I had 3 weeks ago....

I was found not to have the qualifications, I believe I have enough, really gets me mad. Did they read all the applications or did they just have a computer do it. Really wanted the oppurtunity to just have a face to face interview.
