Hi Everyone, Ive got a stupid question here. Im ordering a gold hat band for my recent promotion to sergeant. The uniform company offered me a "Snake", or a "Rope", Can anyone explain the difference to me? Thank You

one is cloth and the other metal braided and stretchable like a watch band.
