I saw a Bushmaster M4 in a local store ... the price is good... but I am not sure the quality of this brand. Could someone give me some information?

Bushmaster is good but it depends on the config and the price.

How about a new one around $850 ? Too cheap to be good ?

It's a Bushmaster XM15 E2S M4 Post-Ban Carbine with a 14.5" barrel.

There are some negative posting on the Internet regarding Bushmaster's poor quality control.... Not sure the quality of this one... Please advice....

Love my XM15. I have sent many rounds downrange with no problems.

Sot, can you clarify?

Isnt "THE M4" a very particular configuration used by the military, one "feature" of it being full auto?

Therefor the M4s that are being sold arent "really" M4s?, just similar in SOME features?

Second that opinion! Bushmaster is a Mil-Spec contractor. Buy it and enjoy it!
BTW the question is somewhat similar to asking if granite is hard. don't believe internet garbage. pretty soon you'll be diagnosing your own belly aches and not going to the doctor until it's too late!

Since Colt lost the lawsuit about the M4 wording, just about anything can be an "M4"
Most of the time in the civilian world and M4 is going to mean a flat top, with a 14 inch barrel that has a perm attached 2 inch flash suppressor and collapsible stock, and also in the civvy case, semi automatic.
