Oh, and no, post pictures all you want. Just make sure YOU won't get in trouble for taking them (meaning, at MHQ)

Posted by: SouthSideCobras

Dude...I think you're a weirdo...hope you aren't pulling people over in those cars...

Posted by: DoD102

Great pictures bluej511. Very professionally done. I don't think anyone will mind, but I'd check w/your boss first. Just an FYI.

Posted by: bluej511

Yea Bill loves my picture taking, i took some at open house, and took some for the brochures so doesnt seem to be getting in trouble and as far as me being a weirdo? Well i love photography and really love what you guys do for a living. A lot of my family members have served in the French Army and have gone to wars and i know a lot of officers and people who serve there country so this is i guess a way of me paying you guys back.

More pics today

Posted by: bluej511

oh and idk what road thats on, its one of the back roads right off Elm St no clue what the name is, i still cant believe the guy called the baracks on me i guess being Lebanese doesnt help huh

Posted by: SouthSideCobras

I believe its Robin Hill Road in Marlboro very close to the crime scene area of two unsolved homicides. That was where the bodies of two Worcester prostitutes were uncovered last year with a third found down the road in Hudson.

I bet the call was placed due to the fact that the person thought something was not right.

Deserted back country area, State Police car with lights parked on side of road, no Trooper in sight, dude taking pictures.

Posted by: Wolfman

Only thing missing was a nekkid chick laying across the hood.

Posted by: SouthSideCobras

I hope you did not take that Wilbraham cruiser out for a "test drive"

Posted by: bluej511

haha no but he officer got messed up to, and its millham rd not robin hill rd. Ive got a lot of nice pictures from today gotta get home to edit and resize then ill post em up

wow those boston cruisers are nice.. to bad they don't get taken care of like the state guys take care of their cruisers. those boston cruisers will be a mess in a month.

Posted by: bluej511

yes the boston cruisers are nice and hell they get delivered 4-6 at a time from Marlborough to Boston by some of our drivers lol. Ive seen some cars get picked up by towns at like 6 at a time and it looks scary man its like there on a mission. Some of the state vehicles im extremly impressed how well there taken care of, ive seen an 02 with 25k miles and ive seen an 04 with 95k miles

Posted by: Xyr_gt

Nice photos!

Posted by: bluej511

Thanks for the comments guys, like i said before id really be interested in making a MSP calendar, maybe get a picture of a couple cruisers in front of Framingham MSP and maybe get some rolling shots of a CVPI and the Charger with either the lights on or off and possibly at night, some marked and unmarked cruisers. If anyone else has any ideas or how we could make this work let me know

Posted by: andy0921

Yes those are very nice photos bluej, nice job!

Posted by: andy0921

Bluej, Are all the boston cars slick top with that interior LED lightbar? Also what brand is that interior light bar? It doesnt look like the Whelen ones that I have seen

Posted by: bluej511

i believe thats a Code3 lightbar im not to positive its a very nice BRIGHT bar lol

Boston, like most city & town PD's, run their cruisers 24/7, with the only breaks for maintenance and repair. Plus, city roads are not very forgiving on any type of vehicle.

My 2005 just turned 40,000 miles, it sounds like a bucket of bolts and squeaks because of the 24/7 beating it takes on shitty, potholed streets.

Posted by: dcs2244

Delta, it's a shame that local cities/towns refuse to recognize that they'd save money in the long run by issuing cruisers to the individual officers. It would place the onus of responsibility upon the officer, like his other issued equipment...ideally you could keep a car for five years or more.

Posted by: bluej511

Well ideally it would help if some people didnt beat on em which trust me happens like you wouldnt believe i mean hell the turnpike still has cars from like 96. Marthas Vineyards chief has a 90's i dont rememebr which yr with 25k miles when we put a tranny in it. which was last yr

Posted by: bluej511

oh and most towns have more officers then they have cars so its virtually impossible. Cities and towns dont have the budget of the MSP (and trust me on this one its a huge budget). Think of worcester for example they have what around 4-500 officers? but only have 200 or so cars and now they've doubled up because of gas prices.

Posted by: copcreamer

Quick, get me the hand lotion dispenser. . . OOOOOOhhhhh the wig-wags. . . Low profile Troop E car OOooooohhhhh yeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh...

Posted by: j809

I hear Worcester is looking into issuing cruisers to all officers. They even sent a few officers down south to look at a few Pds that are doing it.

Posted by: bluej511

i dont see any low profile Troop E cars lol but i can take some pics of em lol

It would take so long to recoup the initial outlay, I can't see it happening. In any case, as long as the city turns over the cruisers every 2 years like they're supposed to, it's not too bad. Of course, if they don't........

Now that's some funny stuff right there. It'll never happen, never... The city council/city manager have their heads so far up their asses they're looking out their mouths. I'm not quite sure what the hell is going through our chief's head, except another way to fu+k with us,so he's not pushing for anything "out of the box" like that. However the chief did send some guys out to get trained up on mounted patrols. 1 K9 (Vice use only), POS cars, outdated commo's, etc and assclown wants friggin horses. I don't know who told you that story but the only time guys here go down south it's for vacation.....

Posted by: bluej511

Hey Deuce do u know sgt Welch? I see him a lot he comes down to MHQ a lot hes a funny guy man real funny. I gotta admit worcester has some of the most poorly maintained cars even the new ones and its to bad since i live in Worcester id like to see some nice clean cars you know

Posted by: j809

Deuce,it was a guy from the traffic unit.

Posted by: andy0921

Sine, Im not sure which I like better, I like XM's comedy channel better than Rawdawg, but I love the Howard Stern channel he makes me fricken crack up.

Hard Attack is metal, like real frickin' heavy metal. Octane is more mainstream hard rock. Hair Nation for 80s glam rock stuff. House of Blues plays some real great blues, blue-grass and some real old banjo-type shit. I'm into that kind of stuff every now and then. Area 33 is techno, if you like to listen to 120 bpm while driving up and down the highway. Then of course there's Stern, which I do not listen to, but he has a big audience. Lots of news stations, like FoxNews which is broadcast live, CNN Headline News, right and left wing talk, weather and there's a sports ticker on my system (everything but MLB).

I got the S50 which downloads and stores music like an MP3 player. You can collect favorite songs or shows and play them when you're in a dead spot (not the often). You can also disconnect the player and use it like an IPod at the gym. I think XM has a similar system now.

Only recent pic i got, this weather blows

Posted by: andy0921

Bluej, is That a 06 or 07 crown vic?

Posted by: Mikey682

It's got an inspection sticker issued in 05, so I'm going to guess an 05 or 06 model.

Posted by: bluej511

its an 06 should be getting the 07's in august, not much change from what i hear but some plans for the 08 so we'll have to wait lol havent had to many issues with the 06's except that water leak

Posted by: Mitpo62

Jeepers that Charger looks sharp! A trooper told me that each barracks is getting two for a trial basis. He tells me that there is plenty of "cabin" room in the Charger. I hope it works out for them.

Posted by: bluej511

theres cabin room but tall troopers wont fit in there i heard each troop is getting 2 HEMIS for the CAT team

Posted by: frank

Have the Chargers all been assigned cruiser numbers? I've seen a dozen pictures now of a Charger (or more than one) with no cruiser number, and only a few of 600...do the brass usually get the 'nice' cruiser numbers?

Posted by: bluej511

i honestly have no idea why they havent been numbered yet, maybe there trying to figure out what numbers they want, i do know that 600 is back here again no idea why but might find out tomorrow. I think 600 is just temporary its been back and forth for shows to Devans and foxboro and what not

It would be a great idea. Maybe you could do past and present sort of thing including motorcycles. I'd check with Public Affairs in Framingham first.

Posted by: bluej511

Yea i gotta talk to trooper Brenner or see what i can do with my company, i had an idea of a couple rolling shots maybe an 06 CV and a Charger. Maybe get some shots at the Ayer MSP and what not. Ideas would be appreciated lol

I don't know, but it's not the Pike, 495, or 290...hell, it might be Route 9 or Route 20 for all I know.

Posted by: j809

You goofy bastards. Unreal.

Posted by: Wolfman

Isn't there some sort of random picture BBS out there somewhere? Also, look into knocking down the image size a little bit - 1280x853 is overkill for most people - 450 x 380 will be fine for most pics, speeds up loading and saves a bit of bandwidth...

Posted by: bluej511

290 it is. Alright wolf ill save em specially and in a different size for this site just cuz i can tell there huge files not to big in size well some of em arent

Posted by: djgj200

If its 290 I'm guessing in its in Northborough heading West just East of Exit 24.

Dont they come standard with a CD player for 07? And I also heard they changed the gauges again, but those are probaly rummers. Theres gotta be some interior change. Lets see some pics.

Posted by: bluej511

Ill try probably on friday, supposed to rain tomorrow and thursday so no luck there, and CD players? nah i dont think so lol i glanced at em after seeing there 07s but nothing different.

haha. i'm not a trooper, just someone that spends too much time on 290 commuting from Marlborough to Worcester and Auburn. Initially I couldn't tell it was 290 but after you said it was I could narrow it down to that stretch because that is the only place I can think of on 290 that there is a straight stretch of roadway like that where it bends to the right afterwards. I didn't even know that was a favorite spot for a trap. Usually when I see troopers doing radar on 290, I usually see them in Shrewsbury.

Posted by: bluej511

i commute worcester to marlboro everyday and that construction took a beating on my front end.

Theres a lot of traps and i know all of em but wont say nothing

Posted by: Mitpo62

Call me a silly nilly, but that MSP Charger is AWESOME! Don't suppose we'll see any of those circling the Taunton Green anytime soon......

Posted by: bluej511

Plymouth PD is the cheapest best design ive seen yet best way to save money

Posted by: Doxparadise

I think the Lexington PD cruisers are the best looking. They're really sharp, all black with Rhino bumpers and Code 3 LEDs. Realll slick!

Posted by: Sniper

man..... I had no idea how big MHQ is. Great pix blue. keep em coming

Posted by: djgj200

What is that siren speaker/light combo on the push bumper of MHQ's demo car. I am just curious because I saw it on Berlin's semi-marked car last winter and was scratching my head at what it was. Also what is on the side of the push bumper. They look a little long to be TIR3's. I was thinking along the lines of the Lightning-X LX4's.

Posted by: bluej511

I think the one on the demo car is a Code3 but im not sure and ill take some pics of the Lexington cruisers next time i get one

Posted by: djgj200

Lexington does have some nice cruisers. I haven't seen any recent pics though so I am looking forward to seeing those. I think the pics I saw were of their 2003 or 2004 CVPI's.

Posted by: andy0921

Great pics! Can we see some interior pics of the 07 CVPI?

Posted by: andy0921

Djgj, Those are TIR6's on the side of the push bar on the demo car I think.

Posted by: bluej511

hey Andy its exactly the same nothing has changed inside which is weird but 08 is supposed to get a makeover so we'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for the comments guys i decided to snap a lot of pics that day

Posted by: djgj200

I was thinking they were TIR6's but I read somewhere that the TIR6's don't have those optical lenses that disperse the light like the TIR3's. So my guess was the LX4's. I guess the 500 Series TIR6's do have the optics.

ok, yeah I hope the 08 is that concept car that was shown at the New York auto show a few years back, rummor has it that it will be built on the ford falcon platform. They really need to change the full wheel covers to chrome for the angencys who order them, but I always did like the little chrome thingy better it looks more like a cops car to me as long you have it all shined up.

The Plymouth PD cruisers have looked like this since when my uncle got on Plymouth PD back in 1981. They do need to come up with a better cruiser design.

An emergency vehicle supplier like MHQ out of Lawrence.

http://www.adamsonindustries.com/

From what I saw on another forum, they had a big booth at the Police Chiefs Conference in Boxborough. They were showing off the new Federal Signal Hide-A-Way LEDs and the new Tomar Blade LED lightbar.

A cow.

The new 2007 model, came fully loaded from ford. Basically, it just needs a console put in, radio & light bar. We did add mirror LED's too. No cage, which really pisses me off, but o-well. If anyone has a chance to steal a picture of it while it's there this week do. It's a metallic green colored crown vic.

Posted by: bluej511

idk if anyone works at amadsons but i can probably get a pic of a green 06 its the same as the 07 nothing changed

It actually might be an 06, as it was ordered three months ago.

Yeah ive driven the 300 with the v6 wasnt impressed at all, kinda cramped im a big dude and the charger isnt good for tall people either.

Posted by: andy0921

Bluej, are any of those 07's cause on this website http://www.polk-county.net/county_of...rder_Guide.pdf it says they got new wheel covers.

Posted by: bluej511

if you scroll down to page 80 u can see its the same wheel covers from 06-07, personally i prefer the small center caps. Ill be bringing the camera to work tomorrow hopefully and will get some pics up.

Posted by: andy0921

ok, yeah I like the center caps better, always have.

The transmission goes, that's what happens. Apparently it's more prevalent in the 5.7 and 6.1 models because they all use the same auto trans but there's definately a problem with their durability/longevity... Still a sharp looking cruiser.

Posted by: andy0921

Yeah the charger definitely could not hold up in our city, 24 hours a day on shitty city streets.

Posted by: Mikey682

Posted by: andy0921

That your charger Mikey?

Posted by: Mikey682

hahahahaha, yeah maybe when it breaks 230K miles and has one hubcap left.

Posted by: andy0921

lol thats what I figured. All kidding aside though, how often do they replace your cruiser for MSP.

Posted by: bluej511

1 Gauges

2 Trunk Space

3 Construction, Paving, and RISP (Rhode Island SP)

4 HHHHHHUUUUUUUGEEEEEE TOW TRUCK

Posted by: andy0921

Those gauges are pretty cool, doesnt look like too much trunk space compared to the vic.

Posted by: 209

Posted by: bluej511

Posted by: k9227

Thanks A lot bluej! Yeah that would be great if you could get with the back light on.

Charger thread:
http://www.masscops.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15093

Each troop CAT team will get 2, and there's about 12 to 14 total hitting the streets as we speak. Some fully marked, semi, and low profile.

Posted by: bluej511

I think the only chargers are Semi marked and undercover.Undercover is V6 while the semi is V8 HEMI. I havent seen a fully marked Charger yet and i doubt there gonna do it..unless there getting em from somewhere else

Nice pics, that Charger sure looks tough as all hell. While we are on the topic of cars I have always wondered why MA uses solid blue on its light bars? In VA we actually have a code that says police light bars can be blue/blue or red/blue. I'm curious if there is a code in MA that says your bars have to be solid blue. I remember there was one town near where I used to live that used red/blue (Franklin, MA.) i think but I checked out there site recently and they went solid blue. If anyone can answer my question I'd appreciate it.

-VA cop who gives 'em the red light when he makes a TC

Lightbar colors vary. Most stick with blue front, and varying colors in the rear, Msp has all sorts of colors on the back of their cars, red blue and amber.
There was a law that said police can have 1 red rear-facing, and fire 1 blue rear-facing, but thats now gone, its a free for all.

Posted by: bluej511

Ive got a picture of our MHQ car front and rear with the lights on ill have to edit it and post it up when i get back from work today

It is?? When did they do away with that? I read a Chapter 89 or 90 law that said police can only display red in the direction opposite of travel and didn't limit it to one lighthead. Same for fire but with blue, facing in direction opposite of travel.

I don't think they did away with it, nobody actually cares about the law. I'll see if I can pull it up.

Posted by: djgj200

I found it:

Chapter 90: Section 7E.

No motor vehicle operated pursuant to section seven other than fire apparatus, ambulances, school buses, vehicles specified in section seven D used for transporting school children, and vehicles specified in section seven I shall mount or display a flashing, rotating or oscillating red light in any direction, except as herein provided; provided, however, that nothing in this section shall prohibit an official police vehicle from displaying a flashing, rotating or oscillating red light in the opposite direction in which the vehicle is proceeding or prohibit fire apparatus from displaying a flashing, rotating or oscillating blue light in the opposite direction in which the vehicle is proceeding.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is the first paragraph from C.90 S.7E. You are saying this is no longer valid?

great picture, you have a great photographic eye for such a photo

Posted by: bluej511

yea its just to bad i cant edit for my life and my friend had to lol

Posted by: Curious EMT

The wording was previously "one lens" once that went away, I began seeing more and more red in both directions, then again, it was still out there before.. Whatever, doesnt matter

Posted by: RPD931

I really like the thin blue line stripe around the bumper of that Ashland cruiser.

I didn't know that. If I ever see blue forward facing on a fire apparatus its usually one head same with police having red forward facing, i've only seen it done with one head only.

I know the FD's Rescue truck in town has a blue lighthead on the grille and something had been said about it because they believe firmly in the blue for police and red for fire but nothing was done. Essentially its something noone cares about, for the most part.

Posted by: k9227

Thanks for the speedometer bluej, very nice pics.

Posted by: andy0921

That Ashland car is pretty nice. Is that the 06 with 35000 on it already?

Posted by: bluej511

Yea thats Hull with 35,000 its an early 06

Posted by: djgj200

One of Marlborough's new cars that they got in April has 15-20,000 on it already. 35,000 doesn't surprise me.

Posted by: bluej511

Believe it or not i actually had 3 Marlborough 06's today lol. One for the common overheating (fans are going like crazy probably did 3-5 today) another one for a muffler rattle and another one to get the seat rebuilt lol.

Posted by: djgj200

i am betting one of them was P6 seeing how they only got 5 of them, one of which they got just over a week ago so there can't be any problems with that car.

One needed the seat rebuilt, let me guess P1? hahaha, you would be laughing to if u knew y i was laughing.

If u had P6, was it the one with the overheating problem?

Posted by: bluej511

actually P6 is getting the seat rebuilt P1 had the overheating and P7 was the muffler

Posted by: djgj200

wow i was totally off. my dad is working OT tonight and got P1.

Thanks for the info; I assumed there must have been a Code for it like we have down here.

Posted by: djgj200

Vic is P6's seat finished being rebuilt? I told my dad you worked on it yesterday and I was under the impression it was done and he looked surprised as if its not at the station.

Posted by: bluej511

Putting it in a couple mins Mike might pick it up end of the day who knows

Posted by: djgj200

Was at the station at 4PM because my dad had to give supervisors slip to go out injured and saw it there. So it doesn't really matter now.

Posted by: tazoez

LOL, do I want to know why a seatbelt has to be rebuilt?

Posted by: bluej511

haha wasnt the seatbelt but the seat.... fords crappy design since 03 the seats seem to collapse so it feels like your sitting in a corvette...some are just so bad that u get in and just feel like ur falling

Posted by: djgj200

I heard that a lot of guys were throwing their back out in the old P7 (2004 CVPI). I guess someone complained with the seat in P6 because of a clunking noise they heard when they got in it.

HAHAHA --- I think that I actually would like that if that happened to the crusier that I get (when I get on a force). I actually miss my eclipse that I had for that reason there (well, that and the stock turbo, AWD, and manual tranny).

Wow, daddy gets excited over the internet gossip regarding a cruiser's seat?
