I don't know what you're talking about

Day 1 done!! Only about a thousand to go - lol.

Posted by: DPD6860

I wouldn't be celebrating quite yet, you still have 23 weeks and 3 days to go. Also you have all of Attorney Scheft's Academic Exams.

Posted by: usaf1199a

Oh I'm not celebrating - just excited to finally be there and that week 1 is over! No matter what I'll never give up!! Hurrrahhhhhh!!

Congrats to the Lowell Police Academy class crossing the deck tomorrow. A long 24 weeks no doubt. Be safe out there!

Posted by: usaf1199a

We will=) Thank you very much... 24 weeks was a verrry long time, but it was well worth it. Congrats to all the 64 new officers of Lowell MPOC Class 2006!!!

Remember to enjoy the day to its fullest and take everything in. It is really the only chance you will have to do so. (at least until your class has a reunion)

Best of luck to the Commonwealth's newest officers...

Although this thread is 'kinda' buried in the forum, and who knows who will scroll-down far enough to see it, but here's an interesting and very sobering reality from Lowell's class:

After 24 hard weeks, 64 recruits graduated and became police officers. During the time the recruits were in the academy, 64 officers, nationwide, died in the line-of-duty. The crowd of family members, friends, and fellow officers became very quiet when this fact was read aloud. A harsh reality of our career and our lives.

Unfortunately, this has happened with all 11 of Lowell's classes.
