I remember the days when I use to run, ok it was ony once and lasted 36 seconds back in 76, but I figured that's why they give me the car and gun, so you don't have too.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Plymouth who? 41st what?

Sorry don't feel that way here, I mean the class was a great bunch of folks but as far as alma mater feeling there are none.

Maybe if Plymouth spent more time on training and less time on BS to-froms it might have been a different view.

Plus that whole shooting incident still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Sounds like they were a little rougher w/the 41st Gil...I fully understand your views-I can only speak from a 40th point of view. The passage of time tends to heal old wounds. I tend to look back w/rose colored glasses on,(but that's the only rose colored item I have on....)

I don't have much to say since my academy (Metro South 1st MPOC) was a one shot deal. But I worked with guys from the big bad Lowell academy. all the did was run. So while they were running all day long I was learning how to be a cop. We only ran up to 8 miles. So when the Lowell graduates caught they bad guy I showed up to do the police work..

P.S. I thought P.T. was optional in Reading

Bring back the Somerville Academy. Street cops teaching future street cops. You can't beat that

Mikefo

Hey UML-why was the Metro South Academy a one shot deal? We were told that you guys were trained under a different approach that ours,(Plymouth). We had a class at your facility when we were in our third week, and I believe you guys were there then.We watched one of your formations at the end of the day and it was different than ours....Seemed to be a little more relaxed than our regimen. <font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's because they were an experiment that MCJTC tried and failed. It was the most layed back academy in MCJTC history. You guys didn't run 8 miles, you must have confused yourselves with the real academy across the street, 4th MPOC WEYMOUTH ACADEMY. We did 10

1st MPOC-Metro South
1 hr PT - Daily?

Weymouth Regional
2 hrs PT daily

Posted by: scungie

PT in Reading optional, well I mean,....umm well if you cant do it, they'll give you a hug and tell you its ok, but you are suppose to do it, most of us do, but its a lil weak, thats between you, me, and the wall

Posted by: Anonymous

Im glad everyone is standing up for their academies..I'm glad that all the chubby people get pushed through, while everyone else runs, the chub club is back singing KUM BYE YA...around the facilities....I'm sorry had to thow a dig.....T-COP for life has been conspicously quiet...

Posted by: female p.o.

OH, YOU MEAN T-BONER?... YEAH TCOP4LIFE ....WHERE ARE YOU?

Posted by: Easton

well to answer the Reading academys challenge we kicked their ass in the wakefield run from start to finish. But we only beat you guys and girls by 5 min. thanks from the 10th mpoc....................

Posted by: scungie

you guys might have beat us, but the thing is, we dont leave anyone behind, unlike you guys in both Wakefield and on Charbo's, stay with your partner buddy

Posted by: Easton

yes we had people get hurt sprain ankles cut knees you are correct but they still beat you guys....

Posted by: scungie

so you would leave your partner behind?? I dont think anyone would agree with it, we actually had to stop and make sure one guy was alright, everyone goes home at night, nobody gets left behind

Posted by: scungie

one guy of yours actually...

Posted by: Easton

what it comes down to is that we can handle our selves even when we are on our own........

Posted by: scungie

so it must of been you who was behind then huh?

Posted by: Easton
