operating unregisterd/uninsured attaching plates they can run the VIN on the vehicle to prove she is the owner. it's up to the judge what the fines will be.. most likely a first offense in a case like this would be continued without a finding... meaning if she stays out of trouble for a few months it will go away.. also she will lose her license for at least 3 months. and this in massachusetts. RI motor vehicle law could be a lot different... and oh yeah she deserve's the moron of the week award. |
The thing is, if they run the VIN, the car won't come back to her. It will come back to that girl that lives in California. I was wondering how that answer would fly with you guys. Kind of hard to prove you belong in a vehicle when the car isn't registered in your name, you have no license and the owner is on the other side of the country. I am trying to get as much information so I can smack her over the head with it ASAP.
