Regardless of law or not, think about this. Often people see a cruiser sitting watching traffic. Most of the time they are looking for violations or speeders. However there are the times that they are looking for a vehicle/person that might be wanted, etc... So the next time you "flash" your lights to warn other vehicles that a cruiser may be running radar, think about the fact that the cruiser may be looking for a vehicle with a pedophile or murderer within. Now that you have flashed your lights and "warned" this person they may change routes and go undetected.

I wasn’t pulled over or anything but it made me nervous. Would he have been within his rights to pull me over? Would any of you current state-troopers have bothered pulling me over if you were in his shoes? The way I figure it; if he did pull me over he might aswell have gone ahead and wrote himself a ticket for failure to dim. |
