Pixy,

I don't know how much you know about civil service, but you don't just decide one day what department you want to work for and walk in and say give me an application. Thats far from how it really works. Without getting into a short story book of how it all works, let me just tell you it all comes down to where you live and have residency preferance. Now to Natick, they are a great department and have a lot of great Officers. Just like any Dept. they have there bad apples, but over all they are squared away with a good upper management and good equipment. They have a strong union and a good contract. They are always busy, from the day shift all the way through the midnight shifts. Over all I would say it would be a great Dept. to work for. My .02

ok thanks...yeah i know a lil bit, that you have to test an exam, and a physical fitness test, umm....but im saying after i do all the training and everything. Yeah if you could tell me about what you really have to do to become a cop that would be great...i feel bad that i have to ask someone i don't even know when my dad is a cop, but he wont answer my questions...so i dont really know what else to do.

thankyou

Perfect example of the "Decline of Proper Grammar". Alot of young kids nowadays write sentences and paragraphs as if they are on instant messenger.

A lot of people nowadays write sentences and paragraphs mistakenly using ALOT, rather than A LOT.

Two words people.

Yeah my teacher from middle school made us make signs and chant that, "A LOT TWO WORDS" over and over.

Pixy,

I can assure you Natick PD is FAR from boring. There is ALOT of action in Natick. Like most towns they do a good job keeping it from the press. Lots of arrests.. lots of action. 30,000 people and tons of retial areas, Natick PD is NOT boring.

I took a look at Natick's police log. They sure do a lot of motor vehicle stops. Are they tough on speeders or something? I don't recall there being that many traffic stops in my town.

Dox, They (Individual Officers) do lots of "directed patrols", Radar, during certain times of their shifts. They basically post themselves in an area for radar or monitor for specified offenses for a certain period of time, usually and hour or two but they DO respond to calls also. There are also 2 Officers that share my love for traffic enforcement also . They are great guys! They do give alot of breaks, but they also stop LOTS of cars. Natick has alot of roadway and TONS of traffic, so yes traffic enforcement is a priority when not answering calls.
