The West Newbury Public Safety Dispatch Center is seeking qualified candidates for
Part Time Public Safety Communications Dispatchers
with the possibility of a FT opening in the near future. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving emergency and non-emergency calls for Police and Fire, dispatching public safety personnel as required. Strong communications and customer service skills are necessary. Candidates should have the ability to multi-task and maintain composure in stressful situations. Basic computer knowledge and typing skills are required. The dispatch center is manned 24/7 and successful candidates must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including overnights, weekends and holidays. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma and a valid driver's license. Prior public safety experience is not a must, training will be provided.
